Using the Different Versions
Each tune is recorded at two or three different tempos, and there are different mixes of each tempo to help you to learn the tune. How you use the different versions will depend on your ability. If this is a new tune for you, or you are a beginner, you can use the different Learning Tempo mixes to learn the tune. Once you are confident at this slowest tempo, you can then use the Slow Jam Tempo version to improve your ability with the tune and gradually bring it up to speed. Finally, you will be ready to play at the Performance tempo. Both Slow Jam and Performance Tempos let you play along with the band, and give you the opportunity to play backup, and to solo, with the other instructors.
There are videos that show the instructor playing the Easier and Advanced breaks for the tune at the Learning Tempo. For more information on the video, click here.
There is also accurate Tab/Notation for each Lesson (read more) and Lesson Notes (read more).
