My name is Caifson Russell, from San Jose, CA. Early this year I bought a Black Lightning reso. Just love it. The lessons available on this site are a tremendous help and very well done. Top quality all around. I also have a Martin acoustic. a Williams Universal pedal steel, and a Remington double neck straight steel. Thrilled with all of them. It's hard though to devote appropriate amounts of time to each of them. Music is so very good for the soul! Take care,

Caifson

Grinesh I used to live on So. Mountain Road in New City — away back in the woods a long time ago. Now I'm in Brooklyn (I think we're going start spelling that "Broke-lyn") . I play dobro.

From Toronto, Ontario. Seems I may be one of the only "canuckleheads" here. Guess I'm in an area where bluegrass just isn't appreciated.
Phoned up the local country station and asked about playing some blugrass and they thought I was joking. Talk about feeling like a fish out of water! LOL
Oh well, at least I finally discovered this site. Some really decent dobro lessons.

Picky, picky, picky...ya that's me...

I'm from Weatherford Texas and I am on fire with my fiddle - re-learning how to play after a lot of years in the closet, re-haired my old bow, restrung my old violin and trying to get some fiddlin' sounds out of it. Fingers are getting touphened up again. Yippee!

Hi,
I'm in Lawrence, KS and am learning to play the mandolin. I have Michael Kelley Dragonfly that is a beautiful instrument and I love playing it. The lessons on here are great and I also use YouTube a lot for lessons.

I saw someone from New City. My dad was a minister at a church in New City. We grew up with alot of good old church music. Now I live in Kingston, New York. I was just a kid in New City but I have very fond memories. Nice to see where people are from.
