I do like the Poff strap once I saw it. For that price I think I'll call Mr. Poff directly and get one custom made. That'll be my present to myself! Lol
From Toronto, Ontario. Seems I may be one of the only "canuckleheads" here. Guess I'm in an area where bluegrass just isn't appreciated.
Phoned up the local country station and asked about playing some blugrass and they thought I was joking. Talk about feeling like a fish out of water! LOL
Oh well, at least I finally discovered this site. Some really decent dobro lessons.
Hey thanks! I heard about Mr. Poff. Haven't seen his straps but from what I've heard they must be good.
The Martin Gross ones look really nice but I've got a bit of a problem with that plastic clip. I've seen them release on their own in other applications if not fully engaged. To me that is a huge thing. Imagine seeing your pride an' joy going for a tumble! Don't think I'm willing to take that chance.
I may start with the Levy strap and give Poff a call when he has his site up and running again.
Thanks again,
I've been looking around for a decent strap. Unfortunately, here in Toronto it's impossible to find one. I've seen a strap made by Levy's that looks good. PMSM1 is the model #. Any opinions?
Name is Mike from Toronto. Just started playing the dobro about a month ago and am having fun. At 52 I guess for some I may be starting late but this ol' dog has never stopped learning. That's for dead people!
Any how, looking forward to making some new friends.
