I'm having a ball with Scott Bauer's arrangement of [i]Bill Cheatum[/i] in the Fakebook. Would one of you like to post a link with an mp3 where you play through it at slow-jam speed?

Trouble arises in the A section when we get into measure 6 — which is setting us up for the neat little turn with a slide on measure 7. But (the way I play it) the last two notes in measure 6 sound like two-too-many. If I leave them out and run right over to measure 7 it all seems to fit nicely.

Glad to hear your having fun with the tune. Not sure where the problem is - measure 6 is the same as measure 2, exact same figure, same beat placement...maybe the diffculty is in measure 7.

No dobro handy here at the JOB - but I will go back thru the chart tonight when I get home - and send an MP3 of your playthrough - I think you have my email address, and I will give it a listen.
