Fake Book Songs

Forgive a simple english picker but it would be great if we could hear the songs in the fakebook, so that those of us who read tab, have an idea of how they sound. Can anyone suggest where or how we can get to hear them.

This is a great site and I am about to do an annual subscription.

Re:Fake Book Songs

Hm. There are many recordings around of all these popular tunes... but this tab has been specially commissioned for Bluegrass College. I'm afraid the only recordings we have of our tab are in the 'paid for' Lessons... and that's down to the cost of recording them!! The tab is free because it's only tab.

If you get some cds or downloads of other artists you'll be able to get a gist of how the tunes are supposed to go. Somebody suggested members should post lists of their favourite recordings... COME ON PEEPS!!

Andy

That sounds a great idea. It would be really useful for members to suggest their favorite fake book recordings. It would be really useful if the accomplished out their could record them and post them on youtube. Just need a clue as to how they sound. I know I should learn music and I will - just give an old man like me time - LOL

Loving the site!!

have to agree with oscar ~ me, personally, I have to get the melody in my head in order to play along, otherwise, it's kind of difficult. I just came back from Rocky Grass Academy and part of the deal is they put all the MP3's on the website that are in the song book they give you, which you can then download and burn on a cd and play along with..extremely helpful with the learning curve.
